Long showers and gardens are a thing of the past with water rations enforced throughout the country. Analysis Dry Themes T he main themes in Dry are loss of humanity, survival of the fittest, and gun violence. The book was also a little drawn out and the characters became very predictable towards the end, which took away from the halfway decent climax of the book.Īlyssa isn’t unfamiliar with drought she’s been living in one for a while now. The characters of this book made me extremely uncomfortable but the idea behind the story itself was good and actually feasible given the climate change occurring right now. ![]()
